A wet few weeks prior to Sunday had put the event in doubt, but a strong breeze and sunshine on the day did enough to start the race. A few of the elite athletes had a day off and looking around it could have been anyone's day. Football and a few pints on the saturday had me doubting my fitness. Top 10 was in sight but the legs didn't fancy a 2nd half push and really frustrating day with 3-4 athletes ahead of me who I couldn't gain on. (10th )37.40min, winning time 35.23min.
