Ystwyth Chaingang

Bike finally sorted after a horror few weeks. Bike shop managed to break my new hub whilst fitting the rear cassette. Fulcrum Racing 5 wheels now fitted, 105 cassette and KMC chain(Ribble.co.uk). Fantastic to finally have a smooth running bike and quickly set it up ready for my first ystwyth meeting of the year, The Chaingang run. Met up with the group in Aber before riding out to Bow st for the start. Went off with the fist group and quickly found out that this was going to be a short and sharp run with plenty of pain. 4 became 2 and we quickly got into a rhythm to keep the others behind us. Got caught on the first hill and missed the back of the group, lesson number 1, catching a rolling group is a tough going. Spent the next 4 miles riding solo to bow st keeping a solid pace and coming in with a respectable gap. Good fun and more of the same needed.

Cerist Aquathlon final race

Final race in the series with perfect conditions for a fast race. Not a large turn out due to Pwllheli holding the first TRIathlon of the season up the road but never the less a competitive environment. Dyl J the man to catch with some brilliant running helping out his swimming times. Little run training prior, but plenty of bike sessions over the last few weeks was at least looking to post a PB. Swim 6:55 Run 17.17 = 24.12. What could have been.
